„Stand Tall“ is a song which emerged from Cookies collaboration with jamaican veteran star singer Prezident Brown, with the wise support and leadership of old school DJ legend U-Brown.This is the type of procedure on Cookies second album with the very same title „Stand Tall“. From jamaican guest artists to riddim producesrs from different corners of the world, Cookie loves to work in a international way and so the album results to have also a very international touch.Since quiet a long time now Cookie The Herbalist is a well known name in the worldwide Reggae scene, and in Switzerland he evolved to one of the most important and prolific Reggae artists very quickly. Everywhere he shows up he gets recognized and celebrated by his fans. His shows are popular and acclaimed and he is well known home and abroad for his unique and energetic shows. With his ballads he got popular also in the medias while always staying faithful to the Reggae and Dancehall genre.With „Stand Tall“ Cookie brings us another very varied and versatile album (like he already did with „Like A Tree“ in 2010). But this time there’s a bigger focus on the more danceable side of Reggae. Joining forces with one of Reggae music’s greatest stars, Sizzla Kalonji, Cookie hits us with the tune „Rescue We“ which is a real Dancehall bomb voiced on a riddim of germanys top producer Junior Blender. Also switzerlands mushup and remix specialist Max Rubadub contributed riddims for the songs „Someday“ and „Killa“, which both have the potential to turn very popular in the dancehall but also in the urban Pop music.
But don’t worry, also fans of Cookie’s early hits like „A Girl Like You“ won’t be disappointed. Together with Roots superstar Luciano; who can be considered as one of Reggae musics most known voices world wide; Cookie presents us the beautiful and very sweet Roots Reggae song „Rocky Road“. Also on „A Good Day“ or on „Love In The Air“ Cookie shows to his audience that he didn’t forget the Roots and is still able to deliver Classic and Lovers top hits like we expect from him.
„Stand Tall“ is much more than just another Reggae Album. „Stand Tall“ combines different styles, brings together what belongs together long and keeps on surprising with fresh new flavors.
