“Someday –  Snippet”

With the single  „Someday“ Cookie annouces his second album „Stand Tall“. The very promising single already gives you a little hint of what you can expect from the new album.
With  “A Girl Like You” in 2010, Cookie landed a big summer tune which gave him huge attention all over Switzerland. The Modern Roots Love Song made its way to many various radio playlists and the following album “Like a Tree” suprised fans and medias with its incredible versatility.

This time Cookie goes a bit a different way. The first single isn’t a typical radio song even though it surely has the potential for it. “Someday” is a Dancehall Reggae tune, a tune which doesn’t accord the typical standarts set by radios but  still has a very catchy melody and is of course very danceable. With “Someday” Cookie wants to bring a new fresh flavour into Swiss radio standarts and at the same time help Reggae out of its dusty image too often cultivated on radios.
“Welcome to the wonderful world of Cookie” he sings in the song and at the same time he wants to tell the audience : “Welcome to the wonderful world of Dancehall music!”

“Someday” will be availble as digital release starting 25th June 2012. With “Someday” we are not only welcoming summertime we are also introducing the second chapter of the Cookie The Herbalist story… Stand Tall!

“Stand Tall” is certainly going to show another side of Swiss Reggae. Urban and up to the time, or how Cookie describes it: “rooted and grounded but versatile”… “Stand Tall” will be in stores September 2012.

Cookie is willing to reach major objectives and is already on the best way to transport his music to the big wide world. With international releases, the help of the world wide web and the various shows in the foreign, Cookie has crossed the borders long time already.  And with his new single “Someday” he’s now delivering a next dancehall hit tune with international potential and really fitting to summer time.

“Yes someday, I know I’m gonna make it…” This is defenitely Cookie’s time! New sales deals in France and Germany and a huge echo from overseas and the Caribbean speaks for itself.

Due to these facts he also had the great oppourtunity to work with big time guests on his new album. Great artistes like the veteran Prezident Brown, the internationally known golden voice  of Luciano and the hit delivering singjay star Sizzla Kalonji are some of the featured guests on the album.

But before we reveal too much about the album already…  now it’s all about the song “Someday” and its very nice new video which you will like a lot for sure!
